Welcome to Paris, explaining the rules.  Bake twice:  First, the Petit Challenge to win an advantage, then the Grand Challenge & someone will be eliminated.

FIRST PETIT CHALLENGE:  Create a dessert that showcases something about you as a person in 2 hours.  Cooking in Alan Ducasse's Kitchen, French Chef.

NEXT DAY: Taken to LeRoyal Monceau.

                      Chef Quentin Lechat, Executive Pastry Chef.

- Mini Challenge: The Chef fixes some of his pantries & they must taste them & tell him what the common ingredients are:  Cream.  

Back to Cooking Kitchen.

FIRST GRAND ELIMINATION CHALLENGE:  Create a cake that showcases 2 techniques with cream, one must include mousse in 3 hours.


JEREMY'S ADVANTAGE:  Earn an extra 10 minutes at the end.

ESIPODE #2:  Sugar, Spice, and Everything.                                              9 Left.

Start off in the Bakers' Penthouse waiting to leave, when they got a package & note with it saying:  Bring this sugar to the kitchen.  You going to need it.  See you soon.  Then off to the kitchen.

PETIT CHALLENGE:  Petit Fours.


- In 2 hours Create Oetit Fours perfection one or two bites.

FIELD TRIP:  Tomorrow - Masterclass in Sugar.

CHEF'S PENTHOUSE:  Another package arrived:  The next baking master must have chocolate running through their viens.  Meet us at Jade Genin.  This competition is like a box of chocolate.  You never know what challenge you're going to get.

ARRIVED AT:  Jade Genin where Ludo & Stephanie was there.

GUEST MENTOR:  Jade Genin, Owner of the Shop & Chocolatier.

PETIT CHALLENGE:  Creating your own display of chocolate BonBons in 2 hours.

NEXT DAY:  Arrived at Place Dauphine - the romanic place in  Paris.

GRANDE CHALLENGE:  Back at the kitchen, Create a chocolate dessert inspired by the city of love featuring 2 chocolate techniques in 3 hours.

BOTTOM 2:  DeAndre & Jennalyn

ESIPODE #4:  Going for Butter Gold.                                                 7 Left.

START OFF:  In the Baker's Penthouse.  Another package arrives.  "Bonjour, Chefs, to be the next baking Master, you will have to be the best with Butter.  The French Bastards are going to butter you up with all the pastries you can eat.  Go there, then meet us at the kitchen.


ARRIVED AT:  The French Bastards, Quartier du Sentier.

- tasting some pastries, then headed to the Kitchen, Ecoleducoss.

MENTOR:  Julien Abourmad & Emmanuel Gunther, co-founnder of The French Bastards,

- They will demo how to make a Cruffin.

PETIT CHALLENGE:  Create your own mash-up pastries, using a quick laminated dough, using a lot of butter, and combining two different desserts in 2 hours.

- DeAndra started feeling ill & went back to the penthouse to recover.

NEXT DAY:  ARRIVED AT:  Tissus Reine, in the Fashion Area.

GRANDE CHALLENGE:  Create a dessert couture collection of 3 desserts showcasing a different technique and containing butter as the main component.  Must work in teams of 2 in 3 hours.

CEDEREICK'S ADVANTAGE:  get to pick the teams.  He will go alone.

BOTTOM 2:  Keely & DeAndra.

ELIMINATED:  Judges were deadlocked & No one was Eliminated.


ESIPODE #5:  Fresh and Forbidden Fruits.                                             Still 6 Left.

BAKERS' PENTHOUSE:  Lindsay got a personal call that there was an emergency & she had to leave the show.                                                                                                  Now, 5 Left.

ARRIVED AT:  Marche Raspail, an open-air market.

- Steph & Ludo were there with Nina Metayer, Delicatisserie, an expert.

PETIT CHALLENGE:  All About Fruit.


- Make a classic French Dessert - Crepes but make a Crepe Cake & make the fruit the star of your dessert & 3" tall.


                                 JUDGING

TOP #2:  Keeley & Cederick

             WINNER:  Keely - won an advantage.


GRANDE CHALLENGE:  Dessert with  Fruits, using fruits that are considered vegetables:  cucumbers, tomatoes, squash, peppers, & olives in 3 hours.


KEELY'S ADVANTAGE:  has Immunity.

Keely was saved by her Immunity.

BOTTOM #2:  Jeremy & Joe.

ELIMINATED:  Jeremy - his dessert didn't have enough tomato flavor.


EPISODE #6:  Break an Egg.                                                   5 Left.

BAKER'S PENTHOUSE:  Discussing Jeremy' leaving.

PACKAGE ARRIVED:  A Breakfast Basket with a note:  Bonjour. Chefs.  It is going to be an egg-cellent week.  Soon, it will be time to rise... See you in the kitchen.

PETIT CHALLENGE:  EGGS!  Create the most technique-driven pastry - THE SOUFFLE.


  Bakers will start in stagging time & the judges will taste them as soon they are baked in 60 minutes.  Starting with Cederick, then Keely, Robert, Joe, and DeAndra.

                     WINNER:  Cederick - won the advantage of 10 minutes of help from the expert.


GRANDE CHALLENGE:  Create an egg-forward dessert in 3 hours inspired by your own moments in your childhood using 3 different egg techniques.

                           JUDGING

BOTTOM 3:  DeAndra, Keely, & Robert.

ELIMINATED:  Keely.


EPISODE #7:  Like a Fine Wine & Cheese.                                    4 Left.

  THE FINAL FOUR:  Cederick, Robert, Joe, & DeAndra.

- The phone rings:  It is Stephanie & Ludo telling them about the Petit Challenge:  Cheese.



PETIT CHALLENGE:  Cheese Dessert in 1 1/2 hours.

ARRIVED AT:  Fromagerie Quatrehomme - taste some cheese.

                                JUDGING

WINNER:  Cederick - won an advantage.


GRANDE CHALLENGE:  Alcohol.

- Creating 2 desserts that must pair well together.

CEDERICK'S ADVANTAGE:  extra time with the expert.

EPISODE #8:  Let Them Eat Cake.                                   The Final 3.

IN THE BAKERS' PENTHOUSE:  the last package arrived with a note:

We've saved the best for last...It wouldn't be a trip to the City of Lights without a stop at the most iconic Patisserie that's been delighting Pariians since the 1880s.  See you there!

ARRIVED AT:  Laduree Paris Royale.

EXPERT:  Julien Alvarez, Executive Pastry Chef.


FINAL CHALLENGE:  Create a 3-course dessert tasting menu serving to many judges.  Must include: a cold dish,  a hot dish, and a showpiece in 3hours.
